Most of my current clients are full service design clients throughout the Cincinnati area, so today I wanted to take a minute to outline full service design.  At Molly Lauer Design, I want my design services to be so clear for my clients.  Full service design clients can expect clear pricing, trade discounts, and a service and space completely bespoke to them.  We service many neighborhoods throughout Cincinnati, OH and are based in Milford, OH. Full service design consists of 5 phases and the process is detailed below.

  1. Discovery

This phase consists of the discovery call, design consult and a customized consult report and proposal for the client.  At the core of this phase is getting to know our client and their needs.  We aim to make our services as personalized as possible, delivering designs to support your lifestyle for years to come.

 

  1. Design

In the design phase, we will begin to bring your vision to life.  We will start with space plans and concept boards in order to get your dream aesthetic finalized. We will have a meeting to go over this and the investment.

Molly Lauer Design will then select specific furnishings, lighting, flooring, finishes, window treatments and accessories.  You will see your design board with items we have selected just for you.  This will be presented to you during at a design meeting for your final approval and we can make revisions if needed.  It is truly one of the most fun experiences of the design process, as you begin to see the vision come to life!. You will have the opportunity to review every element of your custom project, see and touch samples, and collaborate on any revisions as needed. During this phase we will also provide an updated itemized cost breakdown.

If trades are needed, we will begin collaborating with them, and schedule on-site consultations (trade day) to review the concepts and take detailed measurements in order to ensure accurate quotes and final products. We will provide drawings to contractors for estimates as needed.

 

  1. Project Management

We know that a beautiful design is nothing without a flawlessly executed project.  The Molly Lauer Design team will get to work ordering and organizing. We handle all selection, ordering, and delivery/receiving so our customer can relax and enjoy the process.

We also utilize a web based project management system which allows up to organize projects, and for our clients to log in to see the details/progress of the project at any time.  We will also provide email communication every 2 weeks for updates.

During this phase, we will collect deposits needed for trades and develop a project timeline. Molly Lauer Design will manage any renovations required for your project, include small-scale to full renovation.  We will continuously check in on the progress of your project and keep you up to date.

 

  1. Installation Day

The final project phase is installation day! This is truly a magical day.  Molly Lauer Design will have all items specified for the project delivered and style your home for the big reveal! We conduct a walkthrough with you and discuss notable items.  In addition, we will provide a project summary and binder detailing all specifications, including items and their care requirements.  After the final reveal, you will receive invoices for deliveries, cleaning services, etc.

 

  1. Client Closure Meeting

This is an in-person meeting or call to discuss any open issues and ensure your satisfaction with your newly designed space.  At this time, we will also kindly request feedback, reviews/testimonials and referrals.
